I was given my Herman ‘baby’ at the end of February, duly nurtured him and with some trepidation made my first full tray bake – wow, I absolutely love it. It is no trouble at all, there’s no creaming or rubbing in, it doesn’t take long to cook, the daily stirring and addition of more ‘food’ to the hungry Herman only takes a few minutes and the end result is well worth it.
The friend who passed Herman on to me was not pleased with the final result of her Herman cake, but her daughter loves to come along to our house and dive into the Herman cake box. I’ve told her to have another go it’s well worth the effort.
